Richard Smashes World Record in European Championships

200m World Record!

I was absolutely delighted to break the World Record for the 200m T42 at the Diamond League meet on Saturday! My time was a 25.69, beating the old record by just under three tenths of a second.

A Great Initiative!

Through this year’s Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week we’ve inspired over 4 million children to try more Olympic and Paralympic sports and achieve their personal best. Between 27 June and 1 July 2011, schools across the country took part in Britain’s biggest school sporting event.

I’m delighted to say that the International Paralympic Committee has confirmed my new World Record, set at the BT Paralympic World Cup.
