New World Record!
My time of one hour 17 minutes and 45 seconds is 62 seconds quicker than my previous best at last year’s half marathon in Bristol, which was also a world record! And I think I’ll be able to go even faster as I was slowed down a bit at the start of the race. All the hard work I’ve been doing in training seems to be paying off and it’s great to be able reap the rewards on race day.
The whole experience was great and I’d like to thank the race organizers for making it into a day that runners of all ages and abilities clearly enjoyed.
My next race is the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon on February 28th, which will be started by none other than Dame Kelly Holmes. Here’s hoping I can break the World Record again!
