Summer Training
This summer has been all about the training so far, I ran a few big races early on in the year and have a some major ones coming up in September, culminating in the Chicago Marathon in October – in fact, I’m currently in my 10-week training cylce for that very race. So I have really been concentrating on getting my training right, building my strength and just continuing to improve where ever I can.
In my average week, I do a couple of runs a day three times a week and two longer runs on the other two days. Saturday is normally my rest day – which is incredibly important – although I might nip into the gym for a strength and conditioning session. I also like to do a bit of swimming to keep it all interesting.
I do actually enjoy all the training – I’m just so motivated to get to 2012!!
